Disney!!! {Day 1- Plane ride and downtown Disney}

I know you have all been waiting for these photos!! It's Disney time!!

Our trip started bright and early with a 5:30 am wake up call... anyone who knows Will knows just how excited he was about getting up that early. Ugh! Pappy was very kind and drove us to the airport at the crack of dawn to catch our flight.

Our check in process was super easy, and we ended up breezing through security since Aaron has special security status from all his trips with work. We had a little bit of a wait to get onto the plane... I think Will asked no less than 20 times if it was time to board yet :) He was so excited once we were on the plane and ready to take off... he chose the window seat and loved looking out the window at the clouds. He was even sweet and held my hand on take off and landing because I told him those were the two times I was nervous on the plane. Right before we landed we all put on our Magic Bands...woo hoo!!! Those bands are our park tickets, key to our hotel room, and our credit card all rolled into one. They make it easy for you in Disney!

We opted to grab our own luggage instead of having Disney pull it and deliver it to our rooms. So we grabbed our luggage and headed to the Disney bus and waited for our ride to the Caribbean Beach Resort! We ended up getting to our resort around noon and got ourselves all checked in and squared away. I had arranged to have a women who owns a shopping/delivery company to deliver food and drinks to our room for the week. Well, when I contacted her upon arrival to ask where our stuff was... she told me that she had never gotten our check and did not shop for any of our stuff. After telling her what I thought of her professionalism with not calling me to let me know that there was in fact an issue... I called a cab and headed over to the local Super Target. Looking back, I'm happy things didn't work out with this woman... I ended up getting everything we needed and saving 60 bucks!! This is definitely that way I will do it when we go back again.

Our little food setback didn't cost us any time at all... Aaron took Will to the pool while I shopped so he was happy... and when I got back, I unpacked and organized, then called the boys so we could head over to Downtown Disney. We hopped a bus and headed on out. Downtown Disney was great!! All the prices in Disney are the same no matter where you go in the parks... so we knew that if we saw something we liked, we could just get it and not wait to find it somewhere else. We activated Will's band with our credit card info and a pin... so he thought he was hot stuff walking up to registers buying his own things. We did the bulk of our shopping from our trip this first night. Christmas tree ornaments, Mr. Potato head stuff for Alyssa, pressed coin holders, pins and lanyards... and of course legos! Legos so big we had to ship them back home!! Sigh... life with boys.

We had reservations for dinner at the T-Rex place... dinner was ok... but the dinosaurs were awesome! After dinner we walked over to the build your own dino place (same idea as build a bear) and Will built his own Dino. This would be the beginning of many stuffed animals to come this trip. We ended up walking around a bit more then decided to call it a night since we had had such an early start... plus we had to get up early to have our very first day in the park... Hollywood Studios!!
