We arrived at Hollywood Studios very very early... this was our day to try to get Will into the Jedi Training class. We knew we needed to be one of the first families in the park to get the time we wanted for the training. Well... we were first... literally first. We were in line so long that Will made a friend who played Ipod with him while we all waited.
Once they turned the scanners on, Aaron and Will scanned their bands first... and then took off running. I scanned mine and promptly found out that my ticket didn't connect to my band correctly. Thankfully, I brought our physical tickets with us in my backpack and the CM was able to handle the situation right then and there. By the time I was finished that process and made it over to where the boys were, they had signed up, gotten the time we wanted, and were ready to move on to the next thing! We were super close to the most popular ride in the park... Toy Story Mania. This ride regularly has an hour to two hour wait every.single.day. We decided to try our hand at walking on even though we had a fast pass for later. I have an app on my phone that gives the "real" wait time for rides, not the Disney posted wait times. And the app said it was less than 20 minutes wait... so we headed onto the ride. I'm so happy we did because it was definitely a ride we wanted to ride again... and we had a fast pass for later in the day. Perfect!
We spent our morning checking out the sites and riding the Star Tours ride multiple times.... then we headed over to Jedi training class! Will had so much fun doing this. They make it really special for the kids... and they have a park photographer taking photos during the entire process. We bought the memory make package which essentially means that any photos the park take of us get linked to our band and into our account. We paid $150 for this package... and walked away with 250 photos and videos. Totally worth it. I'm pretty sure Will will want to do this again when we go in May.
After Jedi Training we headed over to Mama Melrose for lunch, and got our tickets for the Fantasmic package later that evening. HS does a show instead of just fireworks in the evening and we bought a package that included special seating for that evening show. Totally not worth it :/. We spent the afternoon checking out some more rides, taking in some shows, and riding Rocking Rollercoaster as many times as possible.
We finished out our evening with the Fantasmic show and then headed back to our room... where we were greeted by some cute little towel animals!! He loved finding these in the room each evening!!
