Stomach virus

Our family had our fair share of stomach virus's this past winter. Each of the kids had two, and Aaron and I each had one as well. Poor Alyssa got hit the worst of all of us. Poor baby girl was sick for several days, and almost earned herself a trip to the emergency room. At one point she wasn't even able to stay awake for more than half an hour at a time and would just lay on my shoulder and snuggle in between naps. We tried everything to get fluids into her, but she wasn't really thrilled. The final thing I tried was a big girl cup and a random straw from one of Will's sippy cups... it worked! She thought she was big stuff drinking from that straw and walked around the room holding the cup. There were several puddles that needed to be cleaned up... but it worked! And we managed to avoid the emergency room and a possible IV. We are hoping this next winter won't be as tough on us :)
