Big brother

Oh my little bug... to say you are a fantastic big brother is seriously an understatement. You are beyond wonderful with your baby sister, and she is so lucky to have you for a big brother! You instantly get up to check on her if she cries in her swing or bouncy seat. And you're pretty darn good at being quiet when she is trying to sleep... and if you're not and we have to remind you, you listen right away (most of the time). You've been very understanding and adaptable with your night time routine since she's arrived. And you understand that sometimes things are a little rushed... and that you can't come out of your room anymore for an extra snuggle because Mommy and Daddy are trying to get your sister settled down and in her crib for bed time. You love to stock the diapers, and you are forever making sure that the pacifiers have their little caps on them so she doesn't get germs :) This drives Mommy a little nuts because the caps are not the easiest to remove with one hand, especially while holding a screaming baby. But you're helping, and you're trying, and we think you've adapted quit well to being a big brother. You are super excited to ride next to her in the car and make sure to tell me to turn the music down once she falls asleep so that we don't wake her up :) You wish you sat closer to her because when she cries you desperately want her to stop and want to put the pacifier back in her mouth. Sometimes you yell at me from the back seat to stop the car so you can get out and soothe her. I love how sweet you are Will. We knew you would be great with her... but we never imagined this good. Sometimes when I'm feeding her on the couch you will come snuggle up to us and put your little head next to hers. She knows it's you, and she moves her little head over some as well so that she is touching yours. She scans the room for you when she hears your voice and smiles at you often. Mommy and Daddy think the two of you are going to be great friends (and partners in crime) very very soon :) I love that you love each other already... it makes my heart smile!

Just a little evening fun... you now ask me to take pictures of you jumping on your bed almost every day now  :)
