Baby girl 31-35 weeks

31 weeks and 3 days-  Getting pictures of you is becoming harder and harder since you're getting so big.  Your cute little face barely fits on the screen anymore  :)  I guess that's a good thing though that you're growing so much!  Here you can see your cutie nose, a eye, and your little mouth. Since my sonograms are so short, the techs have been really nice and will just put the wand on my belly and let me watch your little face while you try to suck on your hands, practice breathing and swallowing, and stick your cute little tongue out.  I can even see your eyes blink and the outline of your eyelashes now!

32 weeks and 6 days-  We found out that you have hair!  And lots of it!  We are so very anxious to see if you end up with a full head of red hair just like your big brother had.  Mommy went out and bought you some cute little bows just we're all ready for pictures when you arrive  :) You continue to be cooperative for your sonograms and the techs always comment on how easy you are to scan.  I've even had students in on some scans because you are so easy that it's nice for the sonographers to learn on you  :)

33 weeks and 6 days- You have a very inventive big brother baby girl!  Will first informed us that he was going to nickname you brownie... but has now come to the conclusion that he will instead call you Marshmellow instead. Daddy and Mommy think it's super cute... so, we're going to stick with it  :)  Will loves talking to you while he snuggles with me in the rocking chair at night, and that pushing on my belly you feel sometimes?  Well, those are his little hands pushing on you to see if you'll kick him back.  He is so excited to meet you and can't wait for you to come home from the hospital... even though he knows that all you'll do "is just lay there" for awhile  :)

This week in sonogram was our growth sono!  You weighed in at 4 lbs. 4oz.  You measure a little small for what week Mommy is at, but they say that that is normal and you're just not going to be a huge baby... which makes sense because your brother was only 7 lbs. 5 oz. when he was born.  Mommy is guessing that you'll be 6 lbs. 10 oz. when you are born, but Daddy thinks you are going to be bigger than your brother was, even though you'll be born almost 2 full weeks before he was born.  We shall see...

35 weeks and 3 days- Today was a short sonogram just to check your heart and do a doppler scan (all looked good). This was the first week you gave us an issue during a scan... you had the hiccups and the poor tech had such a hard time getting a good reading on your heart because every time she'd go to read the lines, you'd hiccup and move your little chest.  I do have to say, I was a little excited to watch you hiccup on the scan.  You've been getting them more and more, and the sessions are getting longer and longer with them so I was kind of anxious to see what you looked like hiccuping on the screen  :)  And I was right... you looked pretty freakin' cute!  You must be doing lots of practicing in there to have the hiccups so much!  You once again had your head shoved up against the side of my uterus and your placenta... so no face pictures today  :(  But the tech did get a cute 3D image of your little chubby fingers  :)  AND your hair is even longer now, and you can see if all over your head now! Mommy is really going to have to get on this bow buying thing soon  :)  I might have to employ Aunt Beth or Aunt Jessica to help me out... because Mommy has no idea where to start!  Only a few short weeks left until we get to meet you... we can not wait to see who you look like!

This past weekend we headed all headed to softball to cheer Daddy on in his game.  Mommy was really excited that Matt was going to be there because we still had not taken our ceremonial belly picture together :)  When I was pregnant with your brother I wasn't too far along so Matt beat me in the belly contest.  I think it's safe to say you and I have him beat this time around baby girl!
