A windy day...

Last week, on one of the really really nice days we had, Aaron decided to break out one of the kits we had in the basement and teach Will how to fly it.  Last year for Will's birthday someone gave him this really cute small Cars kite which was perfect for the backyard.  We also have a really nice big one that I think we're going to have to take to a field (or maybe out into the corn field) for fear of getting it caught on part of our house while flying it.  We weren't sure how well Will would do with the kite... but turns out, he did awesome!  He followed Aaron's instructions and was actually flying the kite by himself on several occasions.  I think his favorite part though was running the kite across the yard to get it up in the air.  I loved watching his expression each time he ran towards me, string in hand.  I have a feeling there are going to be many more firsts, and many more memories made in our backyard this year  :)
