Corn

After many many weeks of waiting... and many weeks of watching tractors in other fields nearby cut down corn, the farmer behind our house finally cut down the corn! Will was beyond thrilled to see the tractor in the field, and kept going to the window to check how much closer the farmer was getting to the our yard each time he'd pass by. When he got close enough for Will to really see, we all headed outside so we could experience some corn harvesting first hand... ok, maybe it was from the safety of our backyard and not really first hand. I love watching Will get excited about things... he was yelling to the farmer to hurry up and get closer to our house, and he climbed the fence so he could get a better look. As the tractor approached though, he did get a little nervous and wanted Daddy to hold him while the tractor passed close by. We are hoping next year will be a soybean year... the beans are so pretty when they blow in the breeze... and we still get to keep our view!
