Wow, what a year 2008. Relatively calm considering the past couple of years in my small families life, but a wonderful year none the less.
Here are some highlights from our 2008...
2008 was a time where I really grew in to, and became comfortable with, my roll as a mother. I gained experience, knowledge, and courage and learned to believe in my ability to make the right decisions and do the right things for my child. I met an amazing group of women this past year and helped start, and now lead, a playgroup that meets each Tuesday morning. I am so grateful to have these women in my life, and am blessed to call these women and mothers my friends.
My husband and I learned how to, and are now succeeding at, living on one income. It took some time, and some practice... but I think we have it down now!
I had a lump removed from my left breast and for the first real time in my life was faced with waiting for test results that could possibly change the course of my entire life.
My baby... my tiny little baby... turned 1 year old! He grew from this pudgy sweet little infant into a handsome energetic toddler in what has seemed like overnight.
I bought a nice camera... something I had wanted since Will was born... and I am learning how to use it and use it well.
My husband became one year closer to graduating from his masters program (only two years left to go!)
I am excited about the start of 2009, it's going to be a big year! At the end of 2009 Aaron will have only 1 year left in his masters program!!... my dad will have his second and final brain surgery to remove the last brain tumor.... my little boy will turn 2 (I still can't believe it), Aaron and I will have paid off our credit card debt and a car... I will have started exercising again simply because it will make me healthier... I will have planted a garden with my son in my backyard... and I will have joined a camera class or club and have learned how to use my camera with all it's capabilities. I can't wait to get started on some of my/our goals and I'm even more excited about being able to look back at the end of next year and say that I was able to accomplish all of them!! Here's to a new year, and a fresh start!
Happy New Year everyone!
