Disney!! {Day 3... Magic Kingdom/Mickey's Not So Scary}

Our first day in Magic Kingdom... what an epic day!! This was not only our first day at MK, but our MNSSHP night as well. Since we got to the park for rope drop, this meant that we would be in MK from 9 am till midnight!! This was a long and exhausting day, but Will hung in there and we all enjoyed the day!

Our first stop upon arrival was to check out the Sorceror of the Magic Kingdoms. Each of us were able to grab a pack of cards and we headed on our way with our first map and first mission. The Sorceror game is a game played inside MK that has missions and portals and the kids use different spell cards to complete the missions. We had read up on the game and Will was excited to play!

 After grabbing our cards... we headed over to Adventureland and Frontierland to start off our day. Our goal was to get these two lands finished by the time the day was over... well, we got these two lands finished by lunchtime! We started riding rides in order of what we saw... and there were no waits!! Aladdin magic carpets, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean and Big Thunder Mountain (a few times). We took advantage of fast passes and made sure to fast pass the brand new Minetrain ride, along with the Haunted Mansion... it's very popular during Halloween time.

After stopping for some lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern... we headed over to our pirate makeovers! These were so much fun (Mommy was a mermaid). We had our photos taken, again free with photopass, and then headed outside to sit down and watch the pirate tutorial. I had everything timed so that we would watch this show right after dressing up in hopes that Will would be called on stage. And it worked!! Will was one of the kids selected to join them on stage!

We hung out with Jack Sparrow for awhile and then decided to go check out some things that weren't on our list to do that day... we spent some time in the Swiss treehouse, and also decided to start the 5 pirate adventure games.  Daddy and Will got his first map while I headed over to grab some Dole Whip... YUM!!

Around 4 pm is when they start letting everyone with a party ticket into the park... so things got a little crowded for a bit.  We headed over to the Plaza on Main Street for dinner and to hang out and wait for the transformation to begin!

7 pm is the official party start time and we kicked off the party by me waiting in line to buy the special party pins and t-shirts  (they are a hot commodity and sell out usually in the first 30 minutes)... and Will and Aaron rode Space Mountain about 5 times in a row.  I'm pretty sure Will's favorite thing about the party was getting on rides with no wait.

Once it got dark we walked right into a character dance party... and Will got to dance for a bit with Sully from Monsters Inc!  We did a little trick or treating, and then headed to find a spot to watch the castle show and fireworks show.  We had an amazing view of the castle show... it was just about the coolest thing I think any of us have every seen.  Please be sure to check out the videos below!  The spot we had for the castle show was terrible so we ran around the back of Frontierland for a better view, and also snagged a great spot to watch the Boo to you parade.  We sat in our parade spot for about 45 minutes before the parade began, but it was soooo worth it! We were right up front on the ropes, and when the dance party came through, they stopped right in front of us, and Will got to go into the street to participate.  He had a blast and collected a ridiculous amount of mickey lollipops for his sister.

After the parade we were totally pooped... but I really wanted to meet the 7 dwarfs, so we headed over to where they were and stood in line to meet them and get our picture taken.  After the dwarfs we all headed back to the room to sleep for the next 12 hours!
