Several weeks ago it was Will's turn to play goalie for his hockey team. Each kid who wants to gets to take a turn. Well we got him geared up and out on the ice... but he was soooo frustrated with the pads. So one of the coaches brought him off the ice, turns out, they had told me to put the pads on backwards! We switched them around and put him back out there. He was very adamant that he was not playing it again, but we tried to persuade him to at least do the game on Saturday. After some coaching from Daddy at home, he decided to play... and he did great! He was exhausted after, but he did awesome. So proud of him for pushing through and sticking with it.
We have one more hockey game next Saturday morning, and then we are going to take a break for the Winter session. We have been playing for almost an entire year straight so I think we are all ready for some down time. Will is going to be playing basketball again this Winter, with Daddy as an assistant coach!
