Easter 2011

Oh wow, this post is old :)  Easter morning we woke up to Will running into our room yelling "the easter bunny came!!!"  I think he was almost as excited as he was Christmas morning!  He ran downstairs and rummaged through his basket and kept running back up the stairs to tell us all the things he had gotten in his basket... and he was very impressed that the "Easter bunny" had remembered all the items he had asked for... haha.  He played with the toys in his basket and enjoyed a few small treats from it as well.  I think one of his favorite things was the hollow chocolate egg with the candies inside. He thought it was cool that he had to bang it on the counter top to get it to crack open.  After having a nice breakfast that morning, the guys went outside to try out the new water guns the bunny had left... from the pictures, it looks like they had a pretty good time :)

In the early afternoon we all headed over to Grammy and Pappy's house for the family Easter celebration where we were all spoiled with very awesome Easter baskets.... and Will had an Easter egg hunt with over 40 eggs!!  It's a shame this kid isn't spoiled  :)  Chris had brought out his micro machines for the first time, so Will was completely enthralled with them for a long while, and didn't even notice that all the eggs were hidden around the back yard.  His reaction was hysterical when he came out of the patio and saw all the eggs waiting for him!  He was an old pro at finding eggs, and even made sure to shake each and every one and make guesses as to what was inside.  Whenever he found one with money in it, he ran right over to Nana and gave it to her to hold... apparently she is the trust worth one in our group!  haha. 

With all the baskets and egg contents, it was almost like Will's birthday all over again!  He was thrilled with all the goodies and couldn't wait to play with everything :)
