The caterpillar has taken up residence on my tomato plants... he's large... and he has friends. Does anyone know what he is? Or what he's going to become?? He kind of scares me... but that still didn't stop me from getting out the macro lens and getting within an inch of him!
We also have a resident bull frog in our backyard. He vacated his hole in the mulch about a week ago and we thought he had left... then the other night he turned up on our patio steps by the door. Dublin wasn't too thrilled with him... but made sure to sniff him nonetheless...

Hi Angie - The caterpillar is a horn worm - either a tomato horn worm or a tobacco horn worm. I had them earlier this year on my tomatoes. They turn into these huge moths, but before they do the can do some damage by eating the leaves off the plants. So if you see branches with no leaves on the plants - its because of the horn worm. Hope that helps. :-)
