Blizzard #2

I can't even believe I am doing a post titled blizzard #2. Who has two blizzards in a season?? Who has two blizzards in the same week?? Maryland!! We are so incredibly tired of shoveling snow it's insane. There are 5 foot snow drifts in the back yard, and 7 feet piled in the front between the drifting and the shoveling. We will be lucky at this point to have this all melted by the time April comes along. This storm was a little worse than the last in that it came with some seriously high winds... 50 mph gusts sometimes. We were lucky and didn't lose our power (our our satellite tv!!). The wind was blowing so hard last night that the visibility was 0. They pulled plows off the roads, declared a state of emergency, closed down highways, and had to start transporting people to the hospital via snow mobile, or military humvee (glad we live near Detrick!). It's been crazy watching all of this happen, and it's going to be even crazier watching it all get cleaned up these next few weeks. We have been stuck inside for way too many days now, and are very much looking forward to going out (hopefully) tomorrow at some point in time. If we never see snow again... it will be a good thing!! And the thing that scares me about all of this, is that it's only early February... what is in store for us the rest of the winter??

Will wanted nothing to do with this snow... he's a smart child. He stayed inside with Mommy and watched crazy Daddy and Dublin play outside in it.
