Out with the crib?

Last night marked a landmark evening for Will... yep, that's right, he finally started climbing out of his crib. Aaron and I were hanging out after we put him to bed for the evening and all of sudden about 15 minutes after I had laid him down, he opened his bedroom door and came walking out... asking to play Star Wars with Daddy none the less. So I spent the next half an hour standing in the doorway of the bathroom that connects to his room walking in every 30 seconds to put him back in his crib, or to prevent him from jumping out again. He finally decided to stay in and go to sleep... but we remembered this afternoon for his nap that he could climb out... so I had to do the same process all over again. Oh the fun! Tonight we will be taking the mattress base out of his crib and putting his mattress on the floor inside the crib and praying that works so he won't crawl out anymore. That child is so not ready for a big kid bed!!

As for other news... Will continues to talk up a storm, some of his new favorite phrases are "wake up Dada" and "Mama mia." He has started with some tantrums and definitely wants to be heard when it comes to his opinions about things... hmmm, I wonder who he takes after??? He also seems to be potty training himself these days. He has been going on the potty more and more and asks to go a lot during the day. We're not pushing anything, and I figure if he wants to sit on the potty then he can sit, if he doesn't, then he doesn't. Hopefully potty training will be something easy for him!

Sorry no pictures with this post... our computer had a virus and we are still reloading software so I haven't been able to edit anything for about a week. But don't worry... they'll be coming soon!
