Where do I start... I can't believe my baby is old enough for preschool! We had a rough open house day... there was much anxiety, and a lot of "hold me Mamas!"... but when it came to the very first day of preschool, she totally rocked it!
The first two pictures on here are my very favorite. They were taken at the open house the first time she met her teacher. I love the look on her face, the way she is playing with her backpack strap, and her little feet. I love that her teacher saw her struggling and got down on her level and went out to greet her and to show her where her backpack hook was. I honestly think these moments is the reason why she did so well the first day.
The first day she was not at all wanting to do pictures... which is just like every single other day with her. But I forced her too. We took her friend Addison the first day also and I was able to get a super cute picture of the two of them together. I can pull this out at their high school graduation :) We walked in, hung up our backpacks, and did kisses and hugs... and then I left. When I came back, she ran out to me with a giant smile on her face, and asked if she could come back tomorrow. And just like that... my baby goes to school. I'm so happy she likes it... she loves her teachers... which by the way, she has Mrs. Stamper as an aide... which is who Will had his first year! She is meeting friends, going pee pee on the potty all by herself, and playing on the "big" playground. She is so incredibly proud of herself, and we are proud of her.
