4th of July Parade {PA 2014}

We were so excited to be able to make it to the 4th of July parade in PA again this year. After last years rainy parade, we were super excited to have some clear skies for this one! We made our first stop at the farm to visit Jerry and the cows. Jerry had a little bit of mowing left to do, so he offered to take the kids along for the ride! I was surprised that Alyssa said she would go... but she hopped right up into the tractor and did great! The kids also got to feed the baby cows... I think they were only about 2 or 3 days old when we were there.

After the farm, we headed to the park that Will loves... but it started to rain after about 10 minutes (which is why there are no pictures). He was bummed, but we told him we would go again next time. We had a nice shower and storm, and then everything cleared and we were ready to head to the parade!

We had about an hour to wait when we got there, so the kids kept busy by running around, snacking on cookies, and drinking massive amounts of water. Once the parade started, they were in full candy grabbing mode. Will was very concerned with his amount of candy, and Alyssa was most concerned with what she could shove into her mouth next :) All in all, another great year at the parade! This is one of our very favorite parades each year... and by far the longest!
