This year in school, one of the kids assignments was to make a Leprechaun trap and bring it into school. Will had a blast doing this! His idea was to cover a shoe box with aluminum foil (since Leprechaun's are attracted to shiny objects), then attach a string with a gold wrapped chocolate coin inside. Then he sprinkled lucky charms cereal in front of the box. The Leprechaun would be drawn in with the lucky charms, and then when the Leprechaun pulls on the string to grab the coin, the box closes and he is trapped! They set up their traps on Friday at the very end of school that day. He set his up with a couple of his friends and they sprinkled the lucky charms in front of all their boxes. We ended up having snow on Monday the 17th... so they had to wait another full day to see their traps! When he got to school Tuesday, they found that no one had caught a Leprechaun... bummer. Guess we will try again next year :)
