Zoo... Aly, Mommy, and the Grandparents

This past summer, Alyssa and I spent a great day at the zoo with the grandparents... minus Pappy who had to work. Alyssa loved seeing the animals... and feeding them, well most of them. We did the feeding bird experience and that didn't go so well. Apparently crazy flying birds landing on your head and arms was not her idea of fun. I don't know that Grammy was all that impressed either :) I think her favorite part of the trip was feeding the fish in the Koi pond. The fish are enormous! And they know when someone walks up they are going to get fed, so they start jumping around in the water. Nancy was actually able to hold her hand out over the water and drop food directly into a fishes mouth!  We are very much looking forward to heading to the zoo again this year... and maybe if Pappy is lucky, we will bring him this time too  :)
