A few weeks ago Will was able to participate in a "try hockey for free day" at Skate Frederick. He's shown interest in hockey for awhile now, but we hadn't had a chance to really get him on the ice. So this was perfect! They had gear for the kids, so we suited Will up and got him out on the ice. He LOVED it! He fell about 100 times, but got back up each and every time and skated some more. They actually had to usher him off the ice when the session was over.
A nice little bonus to this day was finding out that because I signed Will up so early, we were one of the first 40 participants. We had the opportunity to sign up for a special program run by Bauer called The Big Assist. This program would provide ALL of the kids equipment and if we complete their program, we get to keep all the equipment! Needless to say we jumped on that deal! Stay tuned for lots of pictures from his Big Assist program!
