Steelers season opener

Today was the first game of the season for our Steelers. So in honor of our love of Steelers football, we of course were all dressed in our football gear for the big 1 o'clock game. Will and Daddy sported their Parker jerseys (bought because of course Will and Willie Parker share a name), and Mommy sported her classic Bettis jersey. Will is so much more fun this year when it comes to watching the game and understanding a little bit about what is going on. He knows what a football is, knows how to throw it, loves to play football, and will even throw his hands in the air and yell touchdown! Ok, it doesn't sound exactly like touchdown, but he's making the attempt. I was able to take some cute pics of him all dressed in his Steelers gear after he woke up from his three hour nap (which rocked because Aaron and I both were able to watch the Steelers kick Houston's butt up and down the field). I even got to look closely at all the fan shots in the stadium in search of my parents who were at the game cheering on the Steelers... what a great game to be at!!

After a quick little photo shoot for Will we headed down to Beth and Steve's to hang out with all our Raven fan friends that were down there. Katie, Will, and Kayla had a great time playing together and Will even tried to get in on the adult football action in the backyard. We even got to see little Gavin, who was just all smiles and giggled hysterically when I talked to him. Oh how I love football season... now we just need some cold weather and some snow!!

Touchdown Steelers!!

Will thought it was hysterical to throw his football at the camera while I was trying to take his picture. He even came over and tackled me once...

Like father like son... heading down to Beth and Steve's with their matching jerseys on

Gavin hanging out in the exersaucer... he is such a cutie pie!! I could pinch those little cheeks for hours!!

Will coming out of Katie's castle... he loves that thing, but I don't think Aaron is too pleased he likes a big pink and purple castle

Slappin Frankie five after a good play

Playing catch with the neighbor dog Sparky... he is so much easier to play with than Dublin because he actually brings the ball back when you throw it to him

Playing catch with Big Mike

Will is just too cute in his Jersey! So is the whole family for that matter. Too bad you are rooting for the wrong team!! Go RAVENS!!! I love you anyway. As I was starting to read your blog, I'm thinking....wait a minute, how did they go out and watch the game and not let Will take a nap!! But then I saw he gave you a big present and slept for 3 hours!! YAYY for you! We miss you gusy so so much. Seriously! I'm looking forward to TLG and our LGSC playgroups!!

It was so great to finally see you guys even if only for a few minutes. I can't believe how much Will has grown - last time I saw him he was 3 months old, asleep in his swing. :) Ahh, how things change. :)

Will looks like such a little Aaron in these pics! It's going to be so much fun when he can start playing sports in school. He'll be your little running back ;o)
