Getting dressed

The other evening after Will's bath we went downstairs to play a little bit and grab some milk before night night time. I went into the kitchen to heat up his milk, and when I came back to the living room I found Will sitting on the floor putting a pair of shorts over top of his pajamas. He's never really been interested in dressing himself before... he'll help me if I ask him to put his arm through something and he likes to put his shoes on, but he has really never tried to do it himself yet. So last night was a nice little milestone for my little man. He wasn't able to get the shorts on completely by himself... but he did get one leg in and after I helped him with the other one he was able to stand up and pull them up himself. It's stuff like this that reminds me just how big my now 17 month old is really getting :(
