Last week Spring, Mindy, and I had our weekly play date... oh wait, I mean McKenzie, Evan, and Will had their weekly play date. It started out great... kids playing outside, running around playing in the water and such... and then came the food. Everything started out fine... Evan was sharing the goldfish with McKenzie nicely... and then we added Will to the picture. Anyone who has been around my son recently should know about his obsession with empty and full. He loves to empty the contents of anything and everything around him, then put them all back in, declare them full, and clap his hands. Well... he got a hold of the beloved goldfish bag, and of course everyone knows what happened next. Will turned it over and shook every last blessed fish out of that bag all over the grass. McKenzie was not in any way happy about the incident, Evan just looked at him like "dude what's up with that?" the dog was incredibly thrilled for the free snack, and me... seriously embarrassed. So in honor of my child... last Wed. will forever be known as the tragic goldfish incident of 2008.
