Last evening my parents and I took Will to the Jefferson carnival while Daddy got some work done on his final exam for the masters class he is taking. Although the Jefferson carnival is significantly smaller than the Walkersville carnival, Will still had a great time! He got to ride the carousel several times, pick ducks, play the fishy game, and eat funnel-cake for the very first time. He loved the carousel and had little patience waiting for the guy to start the ride each time, but once it started he was all grins while it went around. He loves watching the older kids rides too and kept pointing at them to go on them, but alas, way way too small still. The duck game was a big hit as well, and he kissed each duck as he took it out of the water, and then kissed his prizes when they were given to him as well... oh just so cute!! We played the fish game with him twice this time around in hopes that we would win at least one fish to put in his bowl at home. We had an unfortunate incident the other morning in which I woke up to a dead fish on the kitchen floor. My guess is he jumped out of the bowl some time that morning after Aaron left for work.... maybe he just couldn't take the little hands in his bowl trying to grab at him several times a day anymore. Will tried very hard to win another fish for himself, and came very close, but it was Mommy who finally sank one of those ping pong balls into the little fish bowls. So we now have "that 2" hanging out in a bowl on our counter. After all the games and rides, we all sat down to have some funnel cake. Will had several bites and then wanted to feed the rest to Grammy. We had such a great evening, I can't wait till next year when he can go on rides by himself and really really enjoy the carnival.
